HIST100 - History of Sea Power


Credits: 3

This course is an introduction to the American maritime experience from the colonial era to the present, with a focus on the merchant marine and U. S. Navy.  It considers the importance of federal maritime policy, the concept of sea power, and the development and application of American naval ability. This is a required undergraduate course designed in part to meet the Department of the Navy requirements for newly commissioned officers.
