ECME450 - Gas Turbines and Marine Auxiliary Equipment

Credits: 3.5

The gas turbine portion of this course covers the application of the Brayton cycle to various gas turbine power cycles; compressor, turbine and combustor design and construction; and gas turbine applications for marine installations. Auxiliary equipment topics include control valves, piping systems, pumps and distilling plants.

Prerequisites: CHEM 200 , PHYS 120 , ECES 201 , ECES 230  and ECES 310 
3 class hours a week
3 laborator hours every other week
