EENE411 - Nuclear Propulsion Plant Engineering Credits: 3
This course includes the applications of the engineering sciences to the operation and design of nuclear power plants including associated support systems. The following are some of the topics included in the course: Pressurized Water Reactors, Gas Cooled Reactors, Boiling Water Reactors, and CANDU Reactors. There is further emphasis on design basis evaluation, advanced nuclear reactors including weight and space design considerations, nuclear trends, propulsion plant systems, and propulsion plant operations.
Prerequisites: EENE 410 3 class hours a week
