HIST266 - Cultural History of the Samurai

Credits: 3

This course offers a history and worldview of the samurai from the Heian period up until the creation of the Meiji state in the late nineteenth century. Special emphasis will be placed on religion, political economy, and the samurai culture of honor. This is an elective course.
